What we collect

Yapling stores what it needs to run your learning account: your email address and name (from sign-up or the Google or GitHub account you sign in with), the learning profile you set — level, target exam and score, exam date, weekly goal and time zone — and your practice results, meaning the answers you choose, your score, and how long each set took.

We also keep sign-in sessions, one-time sign-in codes (stored hashed and expiring after 10 minutes), and short-lived rate-limit counters that protect the service from abuse.

How we use it

Your data is used only to provide the service: to sign you in, show your progress, choose your next practice set, and personalise the learning coach. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Services we rely on

Sign-in codes are delivered by email through Postmark. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, that provider shares your name and email with us.

When you ask the learning coach a question, your message together with your profile and skill scores is sent to OpenAI to generate the answer. We ask OpenAI not to store these requests.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently removes your profile, practice history, and sign-in records.

Library bookmarks are stored only in your browser and never reach our servers.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile in Settings and delete your account there. For any other request about your data, contact the operator of this service.
